We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced MasterCam Programmer specializing in 5 Axis Machining. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team in the engineering industry, where you will play a critical role in the design, development, and production of complex machinery. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is constantly seeking to improve processes and outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC, Mill, and Lathe operations, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain MasterCam programs for 5 Axis machining.
2. Translate engineering designs and CAD models into CNC programs using MasterCam software.
3. Perform complex programming tasks, including the creation of custom macros and scripts.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machine operation.
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturability.
6. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of CNC programs to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to machine operators, including training on new programs and processes.
8. Continuously monitor and analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in CNC programming and 5 Axis machining.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, specifically with MasterCam and 5 Axis machining.
2. Proficient in the use of CNC, Mill, and Lathe machinery.
3. Strong understanding of engineering principles, machining processes, and material properties.
4. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
9. A degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications in CNC programming or MasterCam are highly desirable.
