Graham Packaging is looking for a Master Technician II, in Tolleson, Arizonia. This opening is for NIGHT SHIFT, which operates during the hours of 6:30p to 6:30am. This position will operate an Injection Machine.
Pay: Starting $38.00/hr
Additional $1.50 night shift differential.
Weekly Pay and Benefits Effective Day One!
Responsible for operating and maintaining injection and/or Blow Molding as well as all related production equipment, ensuring that productivity, efficiency and quality goals are met.
Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain and operate a group of plastic blow molding/injection machines and auxiliary equipment at identified optimal performance, including mold insert and color changes, producing containers in a safe and high quality method while minimizing and reducing scrap.
- Perform process set up and establish set up sheets of injection stretch blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap in an accurate and timely manner.
- Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable.
- Responsible for product quality, making frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards, identifying and making necessary changes and adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance checks on all equipment, including lubrication and checks of all equipment and systems in accordance with preventative maintenance schedules, completing and maintaining all required documentation.
- Perform repair on all production equipment such as case sealers, trimmers, blow molder extruder, conveyor systems and material loading and unloading as required.
- With minimal assistance, Install, program, repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as conveyor systems, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, compressors, chillers, dryers, auto-packers, robots or programmable controllers as well as troubleshooting fluid power circuits and making necessary repairs.
- Perform trial runs on all new molds, tooling, resins, and color concentrates.
- Perform all tasks with minimal supervision, in a prompt, safe, and efficient, manner including replacement of fasteners, guards, valves, cylinders and safe ties.
- Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
- Verify material usage per standards
- Properly identify regrind and chunk produced.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field or diploma in mechanical or electrical technology preferred.
- Two years electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience on similar equipment Preferred.
- Experience with Electrical Schematics, Electrical components and electrical theories highly preferred.
- Extensive training and thorough understanding and operation of PLC.
- Direct experience with Blow Molding/injection molding preferred on any platform. Working knowledge of HDPE and/or PET preferred.
- Must be able to pass all requirements to become an “Electrically Authorized” employee in accordance with the corporate “NFPA 70E and Electrical Safety Training Program”.
- Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
