About the Job
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for working closely with PMO leadership team, technical/functional experts, and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules for projects and proposals. They are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of schedule updates. Must be able to analyze the impact and extent of delays and significant schedule changes. The Scheduler will also perform project progress monitoring duties, as well as identify critical activities, trend analysis, dashboard reporting, Earned Value Management (EVM) review forecasts with progress achieved to date. The Project Scheduler should be proficient in Microsoft Project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior level individual contributor or project manager depending on project.
- Manage the resource allocation process within the functional unit and work cooperatively with senior management to ensure utilization goals.
- Serve as the central point of contact and primary interface for all project related issues.
- Manage client expectations effectively.
- Maintain and provide availability information for all resources.
- Facilitate team design discussions to ensure appropriate solutions are implemented.
- Ensure the project is in compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Ensure all appropriate costs are included in quarterly forecasts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform as a key member of the senior management team responsible for meeting cost, schedule, and quality requirements of the project.
- Oversee all contract administrative functions including policy, budget, and resources.
- Responsible for all profit and loss activities related to the contract including monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and forecast.
- Participate with executive management to establish strategic plans, objectives, initiatives, and work plans.
- Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation plans and execution oversight.
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of contractually required reports and deliverables.
- Manage necessary corrective actions to ensure consistent application of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures pertinent to the project.
- Develop program performance goals and objectives and monitor achievement of such goals.
- Propose changes in policies and procedures to improve processes and ensure contract compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have configured and used integrated project scheduling tools.
- Must be expert in the use of MS Project.
- Must have experience evaluating project schedule progress by creating and using reports and tools available within MS Project.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
- Experience working within the Government Heatlh & Human Services sector is preferred.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
