Duties, Responsibilities & Other:KCI Technologies is currently seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join its Construction Services team. This candidate will be the Electrical Subject Matter Expert for various business lines within the Construction Sector working in a Construction Manager role, primarily in the field overseeing day-to-day field crews’ activities.
Responsibilities:
- Current Master Electrician’s License in Maryland, Virginia, DC. Ability to eventually obtain licenses in North Carolia, Florida, Texas, or ability to test/get reciprocity in these states.
- Support and provide input to the development of business plans and proposals.
- Manage and mentor Journeymen and Apprentices.
- Knowledge of OSHA and customer specific safety standards.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and other industry standards.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors.
- Experience creating project estimates.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete a job layout for projects of various scope and size.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.
- Ability to follow instructions, possess the ability to be trained, mentored, and have a positive attitude & influence .
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training.
- Must be able to interact with our client project managers and resolve problems in the field.
- Travel to job sites throughout the US is required for this position.
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Team player with demonstrated experience working constructively on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables without oversight and instruction.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Master Electrician.
- Fiber optic or wireless communication experience is a plus.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 - 9 years of experience.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
