Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and certified Master Electrician to take on the pivotal role of Manager for Quality Assurance and Operations Leadership within our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance of DOT red light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety camera systems across the NYC Area under a DOT contract. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of electrical systems, quality assurance principles, and operational leadership, ensuring our projects not only meet but exceed our high standards and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Increase field operation efficiency and documentation efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to established standards and specifications for all field operations.
- Manage the allocation of resources for specific project scopes efficiently.
- Ensure the field crew adheres to the schedule and project scopes are properly fulfilled.
- Guide and coach the union supervisor of the field crew to maintain the business side's best interests.
- Maintain 100% compliance with contractual requirements to the DOT.
- Understand and utilize internal checklists like KFS for project tracking.
- Manage profit and loss statements and forecast P&L accurately.
- Interact and communicate effectively with both the team and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Current Master Electrician License.
- Non-Union status.
- 3+ years of experience in leadership of field services, preferably with a focus on electrical or similar technical projects.
- Strong verbal/written communication, presentation, collaboration, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated capability in guiding and coaching team members.
- Knowledge of contractual requirements, project management, and financial forecasting.
- Availability to work occasional weekends and/or nights as required.
Additional Information:
- This is a 1099 position with no benefits offered.
- The role requires reporting to the office 60% of the time (24 hours a week) and reporting to the site 40% of the time (16 hours a week).
- The role offers 40 standard hours a week with guaranteed pay and the possibility of overtime.
- The position involves a combination of office work and on-site visits in the NYC area, with the office located in Staten Island (6 am – 2 pm, 1-hour lunch break).
