Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Groton, CT is currently looking for a Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) Scientist to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) Scientist / Pharma Industry
Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Groton, CT

Mass Spectrometry (MS) Lab Scientist
Summary:
The Mass Spectrometry (MS) Lab Scientist provides GCP bioanalytical and laboratory support for global translational and clinical biomarker assets.
The MS Lab Scientist applies knowledge and experience with mass spectrometry, sample extraction/isolation techniques, and chromatographic separations to develop, validate and implement quantitative clinical LC-MS biomarker assays.
Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for generating LC/MS biomarker data for translational and clinical studies, including supporting assay development and validation, and participating in study execution
Participate in laboratory operations including the development of sample preparation, separation and detection methods, data analysis, interpretation and reporting
Maintain regulatory compliance appropriate for clinical and translational study execution including SOPs, on the job and training transcripts pertaining to specific role function, and safety. This includes knowledge, training and understanding of GLP/GCP guidance for execution of translational and clinical studies supporting Pharmaceutical assets as applicable
Participate in continuous improvement of scientific and regulatory processes via update/creation of ECD SOP's, design and implementation of laboratory and study-based processes, and development of best practices for bioanalytical data generation
May be required to mentor and train junior scientists.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in biology, chemistry or related field
A minimum of 3+ years experience in the use of LCMS based quantitative bioanalytical assays (pharmaceutical or CRO) preferred
Demonstrated understanding of basic principles and theory of mass spectrometry (HRMS and triple quadrupole), chromatography and sample extraction techniques
Quantitative experience required
Experience with relevant software systems, including Sciex Analyst/OS, EWorkbook, and LIMS is preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills required

Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
