About the Job
Position Overview: As a Masonry Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients choose the right Masonry solutions. You will work closely with our sales and installation teams to ensure accurate estimates and quotes are provided to clients, creating a seamless and satisfying customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for masonry projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project details and requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Manage bid proposals and ensure timely submission of estimates to meet deadlines.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess conditions, verify measurements, and confirm project scope.
- Assist in value engineering and offer alternative solutions to optimize project budgets.
- Track and analyze historical cost data to improve accuracy in future estimates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Masonry Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of masonry materials, techniques, and labor requirements.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
