PLEASE NOTE:
This position is remote, however, a primary residence in California is required prior to starting at CHLA. All applicants that reside outside of California must be willing to relocate.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
A member of Strategic Marketing team within Marketing and Communications, the Senior Marketing Specialist Sponsorships and Media Partnerships, works collaboratively with institutional leaders (Foundation, C-suite, Service Line Leadership, Human Resources, Nursing, Medical Staff, Information Services, Clinical Services, etc.) to develop, implement and maximize sponsorship marketing and communication strategies and tactics to drive adoption of enterprise initiatives and move key organizational goals forward.
The role is responsible for developing new relationships and managing existing relationships with key stakeholders for prioritized sponsorships and media partnerships. The position will also be responsible for researching and evaluating new sponsorship and media partnership opportunities that align with the organization’s business goals. This role will ensure that all sponsorships increase the visibility, relevance, and reputation of the Children’s Hospitals Los Angeles.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience creating and implementing internal and external communications tactics and sponsorship activations in a matrixed organization. Experience in coordinating and optimizing sponsorships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel), as well; familiarity with project management platforms (such as Adobe Workfront).
• Strong people and project management skills, the ability to define success criteria, identify project risks, opportunities and core stakeholders and effectively adhere to timelines and changing priorities.
• Excellent writing, editing and grammar skills with superior attention to detail and ability to organize complex information into cohesive communications.
• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of effective sponsorship marketing communications principles and standards through their previous experience and body of work.
• Analytical abilities that demonstrate identifying challenges and developing effective resolutions in a fast-paced, strategic marketing organization.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, change management or related discipline required.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
