Compensation
- We’ll pay you an annual salary of $50,000 to $53,000.

About the Job
As the Marketing Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic, talented, passionate group of marketers and storytellers for our Membership Department.
In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and successful implementation of marketing campaign activities across a wide range of platforms including email, social, web and more for the Dell Jewish Community Center (JCC) member experience departments - Health & Wellness (athletics, aquatics, fitness) and JCC membership.
In addition to these responsibilities, a focus area of this role is tracking and analyzing Google Analytics, optimizing SEO efforts, and maintaining and monitoring online listings and hyperlocal marketing accounts.
The ideal candidate will be creative, digitally savvy, goal oriented, well-organized, excellent writer and communicator, eager to be involved and collaborate with like-minded professionals in a fast-paced, mission-driven non-profit organization.
This is a full-time, salaried position. We are seeking a local candidate living in the Greater Austin area. This position is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in the office with occasional additional required in-person meeting and events.
Other responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with the Member Experience Team to brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns for membership acquisition and retention, and sports and fitness programming.
- Create communications plans based on department needs and goals with defined objective, target audience, messaging and tactical considerations.
- Execute communications plans to reach target audience(s) through appropriate channels, including, but not limited to: email, social media, brochures, direct mail, event invitations, print and digital ads, etc.
- Write, post, measure, manage and respond to messages on social media (paid and organic) for member experience, including Facebook pages and groups, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Track and report on marketing metrics to measure campaign success.
- Track, organize and analyze Google Analytics for key website performance metrics.
- Conduct research, analysis, and audits to support the strategy and optimization of our search engine optimization and local listings programs for the Dell JCC.
- Work with the graphic designer by providing campaign strategy, messaging and content guidelines for creative.
- Support ongoing updates and enhancements to the website.
- Work with departments to ensure consistency in all communications.
- Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience successfully serving in a marketing communications or related function, preferable in the non-profit, association and/or fitness and wellness sectors
- Demonstrable experience in digital marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management and time management skills
- Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Results-oriented and a passion for creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multifaceted demands
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills
- Works well collaboratively in a cross-team capacity
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with CRM tools for email marketing, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X
- Familiarity with Wordpress and basic HTML/CSS a plus
- Experience in paid and organic social
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
