The Job: The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible in executing the strategic direction, implementation, and optimization of integrated media plans aimed at elevating brand presence, captivating our target demographics, and fueling revenue growth. This role will develop and orchestrate a cohesive media campaigns spanning multiple platforms to support various museum divisions measured by specific revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Marketing division and external agencies to plan, negotiate, and execute media buys across various traditional and digital channels.
- Oversee the creative process for advertising collateral, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners, evaluating media plans, negotiating favorable terms and maximizing value.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define the vision, scope, and requirements for campaigns, ensuring functional and strategic alignment.
- Support all media trafficking needs by scheduling and maintaining placements, rotation of ads, and creative throughout the lifetime of campaigns.
- Manage and evaluate all third-party ticket vendors including CityPass, GoCity, Groupon and others.
- Efficiently distribute tags, trackers, and creative assets to all media partners.
- Embed audience measurement, verification, and other tracking components for external vendors.
- Create media campaign pitch decks and present to executive stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and consumer insights to inform media planning decisions.
- Facilitate the development of integrated media campaigns and analyze media performance metrics to track campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies for maximum impact and ROI.
- Optimize campaign performance through continuous monitoring, A/B testing, and data analysis.
- Recognize upsell and cross-sell opportunities and support senior leadership in business development efforts.
- Ensure that deliverables created are high quality, impactful, and in line with the Museum's brand.
- Coordinate and execute billing activities to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years in ad operations, digital advertising, media planning and buying; experience in an advertising agency is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, advertising, communications, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Hands-on expertise with DoubleClick Campaign Manager third-party ad serving required.
- Proven experience in working within media buying software, trafficking, and generating performance reports.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and reporting tools; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of media channels, including social media, programmatic, search, out-of-home advertising and more.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest trends in media consumption, advertising technologies, and industry best practices.
- Ability to develop comprehensive media strategies that align with client goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, measure campaign performance, an make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in managing large media budgets and optimizing spend across various channels.
- Proficiency in negotiating with media vendors to secure the best rates and placements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations and collaboration with internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns/projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Ability to guide internal colleagues and external partners and manage up to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment and prioritize workload appropriately.
- Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a high-pressure setting.
- Capacity to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and new information.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Language:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as data reports, etc.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
- Mathematical:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, ROI, etc.
- Reasoning:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
