Position Overview/Purpose:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with SMG's business goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional departments, and overseeing various aspects of brand management, digital marketing, and content creation. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and client engagement through innovative marketing campaigns.
A successful candidate will have a strong background in both traditional and digital marketing, excellent leadership skills, marketing finance acumen, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote SMG’s services, enhance brand recognition, and drive lead generation.
- Manage the daily operations of the marketing team, ensuring all campaigns and initiatives are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Collaborate with sales and client success teams to develop marketing materials and campaigns that support sales objectives and client engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the web design team to ensure the website aligns with branding and marketing goals, optimizing the user experience and enhancing lead generation efforts.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement in SMG’s marketing strategies.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, such as advertising agencies, designers, and digital marketing partners, to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
- Create and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Develop content strategies for thought leadership and brand storytelling, working with the content team to produce high-quality blogs, case studies, and white papers.
- Plan and execute events, trade shows, and webinars that align with the company’s marketing and sales strategies.
- Track and analyze key marketing metrics, providing regular reports to leadership on campaign performance, lead generation, and ROI.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure they meet business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, print, social).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret marketing data to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Insightly), marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the facilities management or construction industry, is a plus.
Other Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in content creation for various channels (blogs, email, social media).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Event planning and coordination experience.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience managing paid search or social media campaigns.
- Experience with data-driven marketing strategies and campaign optimization.
