About the Job
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies and plans for The Mutual Group and its member companies. Key responsibilities include identifying market opportunities, creating targeted agent and policyholder communications, managing campaigns across various channels, and collaborating with internal teams to drive revenue and increase brand awareness within the B2B market. Other key duties include content creation, project management and campaign analysis to optimize results and align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
Accountabilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor landscape to develop a strategic marketing plan aligned with business goals.
- Responsible for developing, implementing and managing integrated B2B content marketing strategies and tactics across multiple print and digital channels to support business goals. Identifies key messages to effectively communicate the company's brand, message and voice via whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, videos and social media to attract and engage target audiences.
- Design, execute, and project manage marketing campaigns across various channels including social media, email marketing, website, trade shows and events, and PR to measure performance and optimize ROI.
- Collaborate closely with the distribution/sales teams to ensure seamless communication, provide sales enablement materials, and align marketing efforts with objectives.
- In collaboration with the corporate communications and marketing team, maintain a consistent brand image and messaging across all marketing materials and communications, including social media and websites. Ensures design, copy and creative elements meet stakeholder needs and brand standards. Manages the marketing resource vendor relationship. May assist to create advertising at national and identified state/local level. Collaborates with business unit leads and compliance experts to ensure advertisements accurately reflect offerings and capabilities.
- Track key marketing metrics, analyze campaign performance, and provide actionable insights to inform future marketing strategies. Analyzes competitors in the industry to identify their strengths and weaknesses in the marketplace. Identify target audiences that are the intended recipients of the company's content materials; learn their preferences, expectations and ultimate needs to deliver the content they will be most interested in. Monitor content marketing results and make changes to the content marketing plan as a result of metrics.
- Implement targeted marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, paid advertising) to generate qualified leads and nurture them through the sales funnel.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles and strategies.
- Proven experience in brand and project management, content marketing, campaign strategy and lead generation.
- Expertise in digital marketing channels including social media, email marketing, SEO and SEM.
- Excellent analytical skills to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to stakeholders.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling content.
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years marketing and communications experience.
- Proven track record in a B2B marketing role handling multiple projects, ideally with experience in an insurance or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
- Experience in managing marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
- Big picture visioning and planning skills.
- Proven communication and presentation skills.
