Marketing Manager
Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and customer engagement for our pest control services. This role will be responsible for crafting messaging, designing targeted marketing campaigns, and coordinating efforts across various channels to support inside sales, customer reactivation, customer retention, and digital marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager will also oversee the consistency of all customer touchpoints, ensuring they are on-brand and effectively communicate the value and urgency of pest control services, from initial inquiries to post-treatment follow-ups. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer home services and purchasing needs, customer lifecycle management, and digital marketing, with a hands-on approach to campaign management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Development and Execution: Develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to the pest control industry, including seasonal promotions (e.g., spring termite treatments, summer mosquito control), educational content, and service-specific offers that drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Brand Messaging: Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging across all customer communications, particularly focused on educating customers about pest prevention, treatment plans, and the benefits of ongoing pest management services.
- Sales Enablement: Partner with the inside sales team to generate high-quality leads through well-targeted marketing initiatives and provide them with collateral and tools that highlight our pest control solutions.
- Customer Reactivation and Retention: Design and manage customer reactivation campaigns (e.g., reminders for lapsed customers) and retention programs (e.g., annual service plans), using targeted outreach like emails, texts, and seasonal pest alerts.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee the company's digital marketing efforts, including paid search, SEO/SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing, with a focus on driving leads for key pest control services.
- Customer Touchpoint Management: Ensure that all customer communications, including appointment reminders, pre-treatment instructions, post-treatment follow-ups, and surveys, are well-crafted, on-brand, and informative. Emphasize educational value to help customers understand the importance of regular pest control.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to campaigns, lead generation, customer retention, and customer satisfaction, making data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes. Report to executive week weekly metrics that measure the performance of campaigns.
- Seasonal Campaigns: Develop and execute seasonal marketing initiatives based on the pest control cycle (e.g., targeting specific pests like ants, rodents, termites, etc.) to maximize customer interest during high-demand periods.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure marketing efforts and customer touchpoints align with service delivery and operational goals.
- Creative Oversight: Manage the creation of pest control-specific marketing materials, ensuring they visually and strategically align with our brand while educating customers about common pests and the services we provide to solve their issues.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors, including digital advertising partners, design agencies, and media outlets, to ensure all outsourced marketing efforts align with the company's objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 4-8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on campaign management, digital marketing, and lead generation, preferably within the pest control or related home services industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
- Experience with customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs, personalized offers, and churn reduction tactics.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset, with experience using data to drive decisions and optimize performance.
- Creative thinker with a strong eye for design and attention to detail, especially in the context of customer education and service promotion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the pest control or home services industry.
- Knowledge of pest control cycles and seasonal trends in pest management.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar design tools.
