Job Summary:
Tenney Mountain Resort is seeking a dynamic, organized, results-driven Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing efforts for our New Hampshire ski resort. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong background in both marketing strategy and execution. Knowledge and passion for outdoors and winter sports is a huge plus. This role requires a creative thinker who can develop, schedule, and implement effective marketing campaigns to drive awareness, interest, and engagement/visits to Tenney Mountain and the Backcountry Grill.
As part of this role, you will be working along side the VP of Marketing to set overall strategy and prioritization of deliverables. You will be supported by additional team members to assist in execution.

Marketing Strategy Development:
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the resort's goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional (food/beverage, snow operations, entertainment, etc.) teams to integrate marketing strategies with overall project objectives.
- Create action plans to hold the team and collaborating individuals accountable for execution.
Campaign Planning and Execution:
- Create and execute innovative and results-driven marketing campaigns to promote upcoming ski resort activities and events.
- Manage all aspects of campaign execution, including digital marketing, social media, content creation, events and traditional marketing channels.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to make data-driven adjustments for optimal results.
Brand Management:
- Help to define and maintain a strong and consistent brand identity for the resort.
- Ensure that all marketing materials, both digital and print, adhere to brand guidelines and clearly represent established goals.
- Create and edit visually compelling assets that resonate with the target audience, including both content and design.
- Organize, generate, and manage libraries of brand-appropriate materials including photography, video, graphics and templates (signage, social posts, announcements, etc.).
Digital and Social Media Marketing:
- Develop and oversee digital marketing strategies, including website optimization, SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
- Manage social media channels to engage with the audience, share relevant content, and respond to inquiries.
- Perform online paid promotion campaigns and track the RIO on any advertising dollars.
- Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and implement new strategies to maximize online visibility.
Content Creation:
- Oversee the creation of engaging and informative content, which may include articles/press releases, blog posts, videos, social posts and infographics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop content that showcases the unique offerings of the resort.
Event Execution & Promotion:
- Plan and execute promotional events to generate excitement and interest in the ski resort development.
- Coordinate participation in industry trade shows, expos, and community events to showcase the resort's features.
Budget Management:
- Help to develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively across various marketing initiatives.
- Monitor expenses and provide regular budget reports to senior management.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including investors, partners, and local authorities to align marketing efforts with overall project goals.
- Organize and conduct department meetings to ensure communication and execution of marketing goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in marketing, with experience with delegation in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of the ski, snowboard, and/or winter outdoor sports industry.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for good layouts/graphic design.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with strong project management skills.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving marketing goals.
- Demonstrated ability to execute results-driven work product.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, WordPress, Canva, and analytics.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
- Collaborative member of cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with budget management and cost control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus.
