Overview:
Local/remote position - some time required onsite in Lebanon, NH
Develops and manages the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns that meet institutional business objectives. Develops recommended budgets and effectiveness measures, tracks effectiveness, and oversees projects.
Responsibilities:- Develops marketing plans that meet business priorities, evaluating what should be developed based on how the plans enhance or differentiate existing programs in the marketplace. Provides recommended budgets and supportive marketing data and other justification for the priorities and plans.
- Implements and maintains the marketing plans. Manages the budgets during the planning and production process, providing detailed reports to the Sr. Director, developing evaluative measures on the effectiveness of any campaign and providing final summary reports.
- Identifies the specific required elements in a campaign and manages the production and/or staging of them. This includes but is not limited to brochures, posters, events, web development, sponsorship and advertising.
- Tracks multiple, complex tasks, including developing timelines and satisfactory production completion standards.
- Provides recommendations and strategies within the departmental management team to improve relationships with referring physicians, community members, patients and recruitment prospects.
- Identifies appropriate internal and external resources, department staff and staff from other areas at DH to be involved in specific identified projects, and leads these cross-disciplinary teams. Provides communication on details needed, timelines and milestones to be achieved.
- Works with the department’s creative staff and outside vendors, such as advertising agencies, graphic designers, and photographers. Provides them with detailed work plans and objectives.
- Researches and identifies new marketing technologies and strategies and recommends when and how to use them.
- Recommends and/or manages public relations programs such as presentations, displays, special events, to meet marketing, public relations and community relations objectives.
- Researches, writes, proofreads, and edits features and Dartmouth Health informational, educational and promotional publications.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in marketing and/or public relations with 5 years of health care or related experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, creativity, maturity, flexibility, diplomacy and the ability to work as part of a team required.
- Demonstrated ability in planning, project management, strategic writing and a thorough knowledge of word-processing and design concepts.
- Able to handle multiple projects under pressure required.
