Description
The Partnership Marketing Activation Manager reports to the Marketing Director in planning and executing all contractual sponsor benefits including but not limited to event signage, marketing benefits, site activation, and promotions related to Desert Champions individual partners for properties such as the ATP/WTA BNP Paribas Open and the Fila Easter Bowl tennis tournaments and more.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Work closely with internal sponsorship team as event sponsor marketing activation liaison *
- Create inventory of contractual deliverables and establish techniques for delivering, tracking, and reporting marketing benefits *
- Create master marketing timelines to execute benefit elements of each sponsor *
- Serve as primary and day-to-day point of contact for sponsor marketing activations *
- Facilitate the fulfillment and implementation of contractual marketing benefits *
- Coordinate Desert Champions internal resources, such as Event Management, Retail, Food & Beverage, etc., responsible for aspects of the sponsors contractual marketing benefits *
- Gather all marketing assets associated with sponsorship agreements *
- Assist sponsors with promotions online, on-site, media reach, and at-venue presence *
- Create post-event marketing reports with success metrics for attendance, reach, digital, etc.
- Maintain partnership database with key contacts and agency partners *
- Support marketing department with miscellaneous projects and administrative duties *

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, or related field preferred
- 2 years’ experience working in a live event environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sponsorship management and activation
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project or account management
MATH ABILITY
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math
- Ability to read and analyze data metrics for reporting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and OTHER ABILITIES
- Time management skills

- Ability to multi-task, be proactive and take initiative

LAUNGUAGE ABILITY

- Ability to speak effectively when working with partners, vendors, VIPs, or employees of organization
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
- Bilingual a plus

COMPUTER SKILLS
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Online publishing tools and social media platforms
- Knowledge of sponsor management software is a plus
