Role Summary: The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy across multiple channels. This dynamic position requires a creative and strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate wholesale, field, and digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be adept at project management, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is crucial in elevating our brands, supporting sales initiatives, and engaging our target audience effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy and Marketing Planning
Work with team to assist in developing and managing comprehensive annual marketing calendars for our brands.
Align marketing efforts with overall business objectives through cross-team collaboration.
Wholesale and Retail Marketing
Execute multi-channel B2B and B2C marketing campaigns
Serve as the primary marketing contact for New Jersey dispensaries
Develop and maintain up-to-date marketing materials for wholesale partners
Oversee visual merchandising efforts.
Field Marketing and Event Management
Plan and execute pop-up events and field marketing activations to boost brand awareness
Collaborate with sales team to support product sell-through at events
Implement budtender education initiatives
Digital Marketing and Content Creation
Guide social media strategy and content calendar
Assist with social media management and content creation
Manage/execute digital marketing campaigns (email and social), as well as website content updates.
Project Management and Analysis
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on marketing asset production
Manage timelines and budgets for marketing projects
Maintain organized and up-to-date marketing tools and resources
Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance and ROI.
People Management
Initially an individual contributor role, with future growth into people management responsibilities, including overseeing brand ambassadors and a social media specialist
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the cannabis or CPG industry
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, including social media and email marketing
Experience with visual merchandising and event planning
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking and reporting on marketing metrics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and marketing software (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms, social media management tools)
Experience with content creation and basic graphic design. Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a significant advantage, and candidates with strong graphic design abilities will be given preference.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and marketing restrictions preferred
Willingness to use personal vehicle for travel within the NJ market (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

Show professionalism and act as a brand ambassador in all interactions with partners, customers, and the community
