Description
Marketing Intern contributes to existing marketing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with our company’s goals. They help with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing, branding, and advertising activities in order to increase sales and customer satisfaction. Marketing Interns are responsible for conducting market and prospect research, strategizing and developing marketing proposals, drafting reports, and keeping up to date with the industry’s latest developments, trends, competitors, and promotional opportunities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
Duties
- Source and coordinate fundraisers for local schools, non-profits, sports teams, etc. for all brands.
- Increase app or loyalty sign ups across all brands
- Drive off-premise sales through B2B/B2C marketing and community events. This includes canvassing the community (schools, businesses, clubs, churches etc.) and dropping off flyers.
- Coordinate and promote our brands at local community events including parades, walks, festivals, fundraisers, etc.
- Source and coordinate catering sales for El Pollo Loco and Corner Bakery.
- Set up non-conformist days ($4 pizza days) with large businesses and schools for Blaze Pizza.
- Complete and coordinate special doughnut drop lists for Krispy Kreme.
- Promote new or limited time programs such as EPL Curb Side Pick Up or Corner Bakery Delivery.
- Improve all brands social media presence and implement social media contests
- Assist with merchandising and in store marketing materials
- Complete reports that track our marketing activities results and ROI.
- Develop relationships with contacts in the community (local businesses, non-profits, schools, sports teams, hotels, and apartment leasing offices).
- Report to Marketing Manager daily via email/calls/in-person meetings.
- General administrative tasks including but not limited to: checking voicemail, managing and responding to emails, sending daily detailed reports, and managing inventory.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Outlook Express, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
- Self-motivated
- Restaurant and hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
