Position Overview
Our Data Office is on a mission to build a leading data team dedicated to tackling complex business challenges and enhancing both business and client experiences. We are seeking a creative Data Analyst with a talent for uncovering insights from extensive data sets within the Marketing sector. This role requires an aptitude for crafting consistent business user experiences and generating actionable insights that foster growth. You will collaborate directly with key leaders, including the Chief Data Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, to understand and address their data needs. You will design and implement reporting solutions tailored to these requirements, utilizing various data query and visualization tools (such as SQL, Power BI, SAS) to extract and analyze data from multiple sources. Working with diverse teams, you will develop solutions that have a significant impact on the bank and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics Development:
- Build, maintain, and enhance data models, dashboards, reports, and automation systems to support critical business decisions in the Marketing area.
- Continuously analyze data and trends to identify and guide business opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting by developing optimal analytics code and implementing data controls in accordance with policies and standards.
- Manage time-sensitive tasks and deliverables with a proactive approach to consistently meet deadlines.
Power BI Report Development:
- Create a unified dashboard and reporting experience for business users.
- Design data models to transform raw data into actionable insights based on business requirements.
- Develop technical specifications and implement them through reports that aid decision-making.
- Utilize DAX queries and functions in Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
Data Extraction and Transformation:
- Work with business users to gather requirements, identify data sources, and prepare data through SQL or SAS for use in Power BI dashboards or other systems.
- Create customized diagrams and calculations as needed.
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions using SQL queries to optimize performance and deliver insightful data visualizations.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Banking and finance experience is advantageous.
- 2-3 years of experience in developing analytics reports and dashboards, with a preference for Power BI.
- 2-3 years of experience in creating data extracts.
- Proficiency in programming and querying languages such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
- 2-3 years of experience in data visualization.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft BI Stack, especially Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure services.
- Proven ability to use analytics to drive business growth and enhance key outcomes.
- Knowledge of best practices in analytics.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in business analysis and project management; familiarity with agile methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to support data culture initiatives and engage with C-level executives effectively.
- Knowledge of banking systems and tools (e.g., MeridianLink/LoansPQ, Encompass, Velocify, Fiserv Signature, Marquis Executrax MCIF) is a plus.
