Position Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the internal MarCom agency within LACI, by working across software platforms to ensure all projects are executed to the highest standard. . The role is also responsible for updating email and event registration software, (EventBrite, MailChimp), updating the website ( WordPress) and other tasks as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, planning and supporting recruitment campaigns, developing newsletters, creating social media and digital communications and content, all in alignment with LACI’s strategic goals, to communicate and promote LACI programs, pilots, training and recruitment opportunities, events and high profile/legislative visits, advocacy and policy outreach .
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee internal MarCom team projects: Collaborate with the VP Marketing & Communications, CEO, Events Manager and Pillar Leads to define, prioritize and execute marketing and communications initiatives, events, and programs.
- MarCom Admin and Reporting: Update company wide Key Events Calendar. Create and manage monthly client reports and internal documentation, as well as post campaign reports showcasing qualitative and quantitative metrics. Develop agendas, highlight follow-ups, and provide recap summaries for all executive team calls and meetings
- Collaborate with other departments: Interact with and provide day-to-day communication to internal teams, clients, partners, and any other relevant parties. Manage robust content calendar of communications featuring founders/startups and LACI program successes (including those across all pillars), with particular focus on creatively promoting the milestones of LACI startups, across all digital platforms/channels
- Create Marketing Materials: Assist with the creation of marketing and program assets and materials for programs and events, specifically using MailChimp, EventBright and Asana software. Help keep social media channels updated and aligned with organizational needs and goals. Draft success stories and individual profiles of participants from across LACI pillars. As needed, develop and record live, in person, and virtual interviews for the purpose of developing key communications and sharing on various digital platforms

Requirements:
Basically, we want to know you can get the job done. This means you have/are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field or relevant experience
- 2-4 years relevant experience working in Marketing, Communications & Events, etc
- Experience directly interfacing with internal stakeholders with a customer service mindset.
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Ability to have an active role in events on campus, some events may require the ability to stand for long periods of time, set up/break-down, and other requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Work Requirements
- Must work onsite from LA office two to three days/week or more depending on calendar of in-person events
Position Details:
This is a full-time position, starting immediately. LACI operates out of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, in the bustling Downtown LA Arts District. Since we are rapidly growing, you will be getting in on the ground floor at LACI, with the opportunity to evolve with us and shape your future here. Some travel may be required.
Salary Range: Coordinator Range $48-58k commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc and total compensation package including health benefits, 401k match, professional development, commuter benefits and more.
