We are looking for a Marketing Content Specialist to guide and develop the content creation process for our brand. As a content coordinator, you will be required to research and define desired target audiences, manage the content creation and publishing process, and monitor consumer and content metrics.
To ensure success as a Marketing Content Coordinator, you should show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. A skilled Marketing Content Coordinator should be an expert storyteller and possess excellent knowledge of consumer and content trends.
Responsibilities
- Research, write and edit content including TV/Audio scripts, blogs, web pages, and social channels.
- Review and revise all written materials for accuracy and quality including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Manage social media account for specific channel.
- Meet with the creative, marketing, and design teams to ideate and define content goals.
- Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing.
- Develop content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing goals.
- Create content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, and social media.
- Proofread and edit content before publishing.
- Ensure that SEO and SMO strategies are effectively implemented.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure the timely delivery of assignments.
- Track consumer and content analytics and generate reports and presentations.
- Keep up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.
- Responsible for support of new store openings – includes data entry, sending new store assets to Yelp, coordinating interior and exterior photos, and updating organic store listings, and maintaining new store info in Trello Boards. Experience in Yext a plus, will train the right candidate.
- Manage a broad variety of administrative tasks including invoicing, traffic, and field help tickets.
- Manage calendars, organize meetings, and assist with other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of solid writing and editing experience, preferably in retail.
- A minimum of five years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in literature, journalism, marketing, communications, or similar
- Strong proofreading skills with the utmost attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio of published work.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla are a plus.
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
- Good knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media.
- Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SMO, and PPC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to keep abreast of content and consumer trends and advancements in technology.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS A MUST.
