Job Description
CDM Smith is seeking an intermediate marketing and communications specialist to support the North America Unit (NAU) headquarters group. In this role, you will apply your creativity, strategic thinking, and experience in communications and marketing to a variety of projects benefiting the unit. This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist our senior marketing manager in executing impactful marketing initiatives, managing communications, coordinating conferences, and crafting compelling internal presentations that support our strategic growth plan. Assignments will include internal communications such as leadership communications, webinars and strategy updates, and external communications that promote our services, projects, and people to clients and industry partners. In addition, you will take on tasks that range from data preparation and analysis to assisting with marketing initiatives that support our regional marketing teams. You will work closely with our India-based marketing team as well our marketing and communications professionals based in the U.S. to carry out these projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, write, edit, and proofread content for internal communications including presentations, unit webinars, and sales and marketing training materials.
• Create visually appealing presentations to effectively communicate strategies, sales performance, and other information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate client engagement activities for select national conferences.
• Create and maintain our Sharepoint-based NAU internal websites covering marketing/proposal and sales support content.
• Prepare reports (forecasts, sales updates, performance updates) utilizing data from a variety of internal sources.
• Collaborate with NAU leadership and others to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies for external communications, including the message, audience, and platforms. Maintaining awareness of communication and engagement trends in our industry is essential.
• Develop content using style and editorial guidelines appropriate for the audience and coordinate development of related graphics for these materials.
• Form relationships and promote alignment with our NAU marketing managers, corporate marketing and communications team, India-based marketing team, and other business unit marketing and communications teams.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
