Content Marketing Specialist
SUMMARY:
The Content Marketing Specialist at WebCE will be responsible for creating, editing, optimizing, and strategizing the direction of the company's content. You will be tasked with ensuring content-regardless of its form-is interesting, relevant, and discoverable. You will play a critical role in our inbound marketing strategy, where content created can be used in the awareness, consideration, and decision stages of a marketing campaign.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute content creation, including but not limited to blog posts, internal and external marketing communications copy, copy for campaign initiatives related to email, public relations and other channels that are optimized and customer friendly
- Develop a content calendar that's engaging and relevant to trending topics across all industries we serve
- Seek to understand the content our audience responds to and measure the results of content created and posted
- Work with product managers to identify and improve current processes for creating customer-ready content for all brand lines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines to incorporate into content strategies for all brand lines
- Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, tone of voice, and is optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content
- Cultivate relationships with trade publications, bloggers, and national consumer press to increase media coverage and awareness of the WebCE brand
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in content marketing
- Proven editorial skills
- Previous experience using HTML for posting content within website pages is required
- Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush and/or Moz is a plus
- A writer and a storyteller. The ability to create engaging stories using words and images
- Experience with re-purposing content to revitalize top-performing content in new and unique ways to drive incremental value
- Experience working with both B2B and B2C content
- Able to execute against various work-streams simultaneously
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Schema.org principals and execution
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or phone
- May be asked to list up to 10-15 pounds at times
