A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EXTERNAL AFFAIRS COORDINATOR:
Assists in enhancing the effectiveness of the External Affairs team by providing support for advertising, philanthropy, sponsorship, and other marketing efforts.
Provides support to the Director, Marketing & Communications by supporting meeting arrangements and travel as needed.
Maintain and develop necessary reporting and record-keeping on active marketing and advertising campaigns including schedules, segmentation data and performance.
Assist in management of corporate blog schedule, development of content and related reporting. Develop weekly communication on corporate radio communications from the President & CEO.
Helps demonstrate the breadth of the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation's impact by creating cover letters for grant recipients; compiles information to create executive summaries for senior managers. Updates maps illustrating oral health grant coverage throughout northern New England, sponsorship related reports, and additional reporting as needed.
Coordinates corporate and foundation grant requests by retrieving requests daily from the application management system, ensures annual record-keeping is accurate and assists in updating spreadsheets and disseminating the requests to the appropriate staff.
Manages bi-annual employee calendar photo contest.
Supports the company's outreach by distributing oral health materials and supplies to support other department's attendance at events and attends events, as needed, to assist in sharing materials.
Supports relationships with community organizations through management of requests for logo use, advertisements in publications and mailing items needed to support events. Promotes community event opportunity participation for employees by making complimentary tickets available.
Maintains historical records and stores records by filing documents; compiles and sorts information and records according to established procedures and in designated areas; disposes information by following established procedures.
Maintains supplies for External Affairs department, sales teams and other internal departments including fulfillment of all order requests for oral health supplies and other giveaway items needed for events.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field and/or three to five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The typical work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.This position will work on-premises at our Concord, NH headquarters and remote when appropriate.
