JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Campaign Manager will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns. This role will support various business objectives, including ticket sales, sponsor activation, merchandise sales, brand awareness, and fan engagement. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive measurable results. This role will support the VP, Marketing to ensure all marketing related campaigns are executed accordingly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with marketing leadership to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns on assigned projects. Campaigns will promote ticket sales, special events, merchandise launches, and other initiatives, leveraging a mix of traditional and digital marketing channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, digital, and analytics, to develop campaign briefs, creative assets, and messaging that align with brand objectives and resonate with target audiences.
- Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including project timelines, budget allocation, asset production, media planning, and campaign performance tracking. Assist with management of key tools from a marketing perspective (primarily airtable and flowcode).
- Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to optimize campaign performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations for future campaigns. Prepare and present campaign performance reports for senior management.
- Coordinate with external marketing partners, agencies, and vendors to support campaign execution and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with community relations and fan engagement teams to integrate grassroots initiatives and community events into marketing campaigns.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The Marketing Campaign Manager must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
- Proficiency in managing timelines, tasks, and resources
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver promptly by strict deadlines. With excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation), interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and ability to learn all required business systems
- Strong knowledge of the LA Kings, NHL, international and local hockey team
- Excellent at relationship building and communicating across departments
- Analytical Thinker who uses data to inform decisions and optimize campaigns
- Available to work a hockey-based schedule: nights, weekends, and holidays
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) In a related field
Experience:
- 4-6 years Account management and/ or marketing experience in an integrated marketing and/or digitally led marketing capacity.
- Experience working for a brand and ideally within a sports, entertainment, or media environment
- Proven track record collaborating with cross functional teams
- Experience communicating with senior leadership
Pay Scale: $67,500- $84,000
