Title: Marketing Associate
Reports to: Director of Business Development
Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Hourly Range: $26.56 - $35.93 (aligned with company's pay band structure)
Summary Description
The Marketing Associate assists with coordinating and implementing marketing activities for the company. They are directly responsible for developing marketing opportunities to increase the company market share. The Marketing Associate is key to ensuring FLORES branding and marketing strategies are aligned with the sales strategies and the company's vision and goals. You are the top ambassador for FLORES and critical to representing our company to the business community. You will be a strategic partner working alongside the Director of Business Development (DBD) to ensure that FLORES continues to be a leader in our industry. You will enjoy high levels of autonomy and responsibility and serve as a sounding board to the DBD, the Chief Operating Officer, and partners/clients who work closely with them. Above all else, customer service, work ethic, exemplary oral and written communication skills, networking and judgment are key. The ideal candidate will be a quick study, a fast thinker, strong writer, self-starter, and a problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and is always thinking five steps ahead to represent FLORES as the best strategic partner solution for potential customers and markets.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaign Management
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns that align with the company's strategic goals. Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each campaign. Oversee the creation of various content types, including blog posts, social media updates, email newsletters, and advertisements. Select appropriate marketing channels (e.g., social media, email, PPC, SEO) for campaign distribution. Execute marketing campaigns across various channels. Develop and manage campaign budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data to optimize results. Collaborate with other departments when necessary to ensure promoted communication and materials align. Ensure all campaign activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Brand Management
Assist in developing and executing brand strategies to enhance brand awareness and market presence. Collaborate with the executive team to align brand strategies with overall business goals. Analyze data to inform brand positioning and marketing strategies. Develop and maintain consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels. Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote the brand. Monitor and report on campaign performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize results. Engage with customers to build brand loyalty and gather feedback. Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance the brand's market position.
Market Research
Develop research plans and methodologies to gather relevant market data. Utilize secondary research methods to collect data from existing sources like industry reports, market analysis, and competitor data. Use statistical tools and software to interpret data and generate meaningful insights. Development of marketing progress reports and communicating status updates across departments. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings to the executive team. Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Gather and analyze customer feedback to understand their needs, preferences, and behaviors. Evaluate the performance of existing services in the market. Develop and manage budgets for market research projects. Stay updated with the latest market research tools, techniques, and best practices. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of research data.
Event Management
Develop event concepts and themes that align with the company's marketing goals and brand image. Create detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage vendor contracts and ensure all services are delivered as agreed. Coordinate all logistical aspects of events. Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events through various channels, including social media, email, and the company website. Identify and invite industry-relevant speakers and special guests. Ensure all event activities run smoothly and address any issues that arise promptly. Develop strategies to engage attendees before, during, and after the event. Monitor expenses and adjust plans as necessary to stay within budget. Collect and analyze feedback from attendees, vendors, and team members. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future events. Prepare detailed reports on event performance, including attendance, engagement, and ROI. Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance the attendee experience and event effectiveness.
Social Media Management
Develop and implement social media strategies to align with business goals. Identify target audiences and tailor content to engage them effectively. Create engaging and high-quality content, including text, images, videos, and infographics. Ensure all content aligns with the brand's voice and messaging. Manage the company's presence on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others. Optimize profiles and pages to improve visibility and engagement. Develop and maintain a content calendar to schedule posts in advance. Use social media management tools (e.g., HubSpot) to schedule and publish content consistently. Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions. Respond to inquiries and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner. Track and analyze social media performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates. Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote services and events. Monitor campaign performance and adjust as needed to achieve objectives. Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. Develop and implement strategies to handle negative comments or crises on social media. Optimize social media content for search engines to improve visibility.
Email Marketing
Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing strategies that align with overall marketing goals. Write compelling and high-converting email copy, including subject lines, body text, and calls-to-action. Build and maintain email lists, ensuring they are segmented and targeted appropriately. Schedule and send email campaigns using email marketing platforms (HubSpot). Set up and manage automated email workflows, such as welcome series, drip campaigns, and re-engagement campaigns. Track and analyze key email marketing metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates. Prepare detailed reports on email campaign performance and provide insights for improvement. Use customer insights to improve email content and overall marketing strategies.
Collaboration with All Departments
Work closely with the sales team to align sales and marketing tactics and plans. Participate in sales marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive sales growth. Provide feedback to the sales team based on client interactions and market trends. Develop strategies to generate and nurture leads for the sales team. Work closely with other departments to ensure brand consistency.
Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field is valued
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience
- 2+ years of Marketing experience
- Working knowledge of basic principles of Accounting, HR and Payroll preferred
- Experience with CRM/HubSpot and all social media platforms

- Ability to follow pre-established guidelines and workflows to perform a variety of functions independently
- Ability to follow professional appearance and dress code guidelines
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. Some travel to client sites may be required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
