Our client, a boutique ad agency is looking for a Marketing Analyst. This is a temp to hire role (40 hours a week) that is hybrid onsite in Long Beach.
We are currently looking for a Marketing Analyst with solid agency and marketing experience to join our team. You will maintain communication and collaboration with our client and internal cross-functional teams to support measurement framework, data strategy and performance analytics in order to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions and strategic thinking. We’re looking for someone who is a strong analytical thinker with an abundance of intellectual curiosity, doesn't shy away from a challenge, and is always hungry to learn more!
You love to derive impactful insights from quantitative analysis and provide recommendations to refine the strategy.You love to uncover root causes behind ambiguous problems and get to the heart of the matter. As a marketing analyst on the media team, you will work closely with the team’s analysts as well as the internal team to carry out campaign reports and measurement plans. Success for this position is measured by the ability to deliver reports in a timely fashion that are rich with sound insights and recommendations while maintaining and assuring the accuracy and consistency of data.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data to measure campaign effectiveness across paid media and creative approaches.
- Create reports and effectively present campaign performance to clients and internal stakeholders through storytelling to inform business decisions.
- Build data visualizations and dashboards to monitor campaign performance.
- Transform data into actionable insights through strong storytelling, connecting the dots across channels for a holistic view of marketing, advertising, and commerce efforts.
- Apply analytical evaluation to work with the Media Team to closely monitor campaign performance and provide optimizations
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analyses.
- To help ensure measurement plan/research studies tie back to the campaign strategies.
- Analyze lifts in brand sentiment and favorability.
- Use statistical techniques, data visualization tools, and qualitative analysis methods to analyze research data.
- Identify patterns, trends, and insights from data to inform marketing strategy and decision-making.
- Monitor/conduct monthly industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.
- Conduct detailed analyses and produce reports and presentations summarizing findings.
- Solve underlying business issues by diagnosing problems in a data-driven manner, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with publishers to establish KPIs and develop benchmarks across campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of marketing or advertising agency experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a data-driven field, with prior experience in marketing.
- Strong experience in data analytics; advanced proficiency in Excel, native platforms (e.g., Meta, Tiktok, Campaign Manager, DV360, etc..), and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau) is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think proactively about data and analysis approaches based on objectives.
- Ability to become a storyteller with qualitative and quantitative data, uncovering deep analytical insights to provide high-impact results.
- Awareness of the digital marketing space, with a particular emphasis on paid media data portability.
- Ability to multitask, work successfully with teams, and manage cross-agency and client expectations under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast-paced business environment.
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to multiple audiences.
- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Strong desire to learn and a passion for both digital marketing and analytics.
- Experience analyzing lifts in brand sentiment and favorability is highly desirable.
