Maritime Estimator - CyberCoders

Position Overview

The Maritime Estimator plays a crucial role in our organization by providing accurate cost estimations for maritime projects. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and project management skills to support the bidding process and ensure that all estimates align with financial forecasts and procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for maritime projects including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine project requirements.
• Develop bid packages and collaborate with cross-functional teams to finalize proposals.
• Conduct market trend analysis to adjust estimates and maintain competitiveness.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial forecasting and cost analysis.
• Manage procurement processes to ensure timely acquisition of resources.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the maritime industry or Federal contracting.
• Strong understanding of project management principles.
• Proficient in financial forecasting and analysis.
• Experience with procurement processes and bid package development.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software.
