Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for maritime projects including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine project requirements.
- Develop bid packages and collaborate with cross-functional teams to finalize proposals.
- Conduct market trend analysis to adjust estimates and maintain competitiveness.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial forecasting and cost analysis.
- Manage procurement processes to ensure timely acquisition of resources.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the maritime industry or Federal contracting.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Proficient in financial forecasting and analysis.
- Experience with procurement processes and bid package development.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software.
