Must be 18 years of age or be a high school graduate by the start of camp.

Must be available for 10 weeks of day camp (June 18, 2025 - August 22, 2025) and training dates that will be scheduled prior to camp.

Must hold valid Lifeguard and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certifications throughout the position’s employment dates listed.  Training will be available.

Must hold valid waterfront module certification. Training will be available.

Must have documented experience teaching or interacting with youth program.

Must submit a basic health history form as set by the American Camping Association.

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds periodically.

Must possess endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

Recommended Education, Training and Experience

College credits in health, child development, education, psychology, or related field.

GSGLA Employee Requirements

Comply with state-mandated reporter training

Attend GSGLA signature events and/or other activities as assigned
