Position Summary:
The Marcomms and Demand Generation Manager, Americas is a working manager/coach-player position in the marketing department with ownership of the Demand Generation function and direct managerial responsibility for other members of the Demand Generation team.
Primary responsibility is leading the Americas effort for Marketing Communications in general, creating the Demand Generation plans and managing the delivery of programs, using the resources of the global team and local teams, OEM partners and external vendors to deliver target leads and opportunities from all marketing activities.
This is a critical role which requires a capacity for assessing market opportunities, extracting the key messages and creating strong proposition for targets as well as proven knowledge of techniques in creating compelling communications that bring in relevant new contacts (that are nurtured though to becoming new customers) as well as maximizing repeat business/loyalty and cross-selling from existing customers.
It will require a strong capacity for briefing, creating and delivering strong and measurable communication programs, managing database metrics and automation systems) leading systems ideally Pardot). It also means working hand-in-glove with the web team to ensure maximum conversion of inbound comms programmes and being able to understand, manage and enthuse sales teams to work in synch to deliver the most effective follow-up and results.
Responsibilities:- Leading the Marcomms and Demand Generation team in the Americas – working with the team to create and execute strategies, intelligently measure outcomes, and adjust efforts accordingly.
- From general business objectives, creating and communicating the plan and schedule of activity, including key vertical targets and agreed messaging campaigns.
- Own Marketing relationships with key OEMs including Keysight, R&S, Tek and other principal partnerships by importance, including ensuring proper coordination, collaboration and use of MDF as well as reporting back on outcomes.
- Setting the strategy and selecting relevant demand generation activities, campaigns, digital programs, cross-selling programs to deliver target leads and positive brand presence.
- Generate awareness of Electro Rent among target users, through messaging and campaigns that enhance brand value and rental penetration – promoting the ‘one source’ message with all services including Rental, CPO, Distribution, Calibration and Services.
- Collaboration with marketing operations to ensure that KPIs and other metrics are gathered and accurately reflect business outcomes of marketing efforts.
- Collaboration with sales to ensure coordinated rollout of various marketing campaigns and initiatives including sales enablement where needed.
- Coaching and ongoing development of both direct reports and others in the Americas team.
- Training and onboarding of Demand Gen team new hires.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, in accordance with business needs and organizational goals.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience with Marketing and Demand Generation process management
- Solid understanding of marketing/demand generation best practices.
- Solid understanding of Pardot (or other marketing automation platform).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce (SFDC)
- Understanding of Test and Measurement business or similar technical business industry.
- Proven track record of effective lead/demand generation which leads to business results
- Proven understanding of personas and delivery of relevant messaging which engages
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience desired.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience with Marketing and Demand Generation process management.
- All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week.
- Communicate effectively both orally as well as written.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds of equipment or boxes above the head, alone, or with help lift 150 pounds
- Read documents.
- Communicate effectively with phone.
