About the Job
In this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the electrification of flight. Our Subsystems Manufacturing Team is in need of a Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly and test of landing gear and flight control surface actuators and associated hardware and systems. This hands-on role would also support the installation of these sub-assemblies into our aircraft on the final assembly line.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Hands-on assembly of key components/subsystems to be installed in our CTOL and VTOL aircraft.
- Support Mfg. Engineers develop detailed work instructions and assembly processes to ensure the highest quality product.
- Provide feedback and take action to improve the assembly and test processes.
- Performing in-process quality control inspection tasks, feeling comfortable identifying and raising concerns about process deviations, and being an integral part of any troubleshooting efforts to solve them.
- Maintaining accurate and clear manufacturing documentation in compliance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations.
- Maintaining maintenance logs for all machines or processes they oversee, which requires proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Log and track inventory and job hours as needed using the ERP system.
- Using all mandated safety equipment and complying with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:
- Two-year degree in manufacturing technology or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing safety standards for personnel, equipment, environment, and tooling.
- Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work every time.
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring, tooling, complex mechanical assemblies.
- Strong mechanical understanding and experience.
- Strong dexterity skills with the ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Aptitude to learn/interpret design schematics for complex mechanical subassemblies requiring a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
- Experience in a high compliance manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Medical, or Mil-Spec)
- Ability to lead and teach others.
- 5+ Years of experience in a like role.
- Experience with high-performance aviation or automotive suspension assembly.
- Computer savvy with experience with test equipment.
- Self-starter.
- Enthusiastic about aviation!
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Manufacturing Line and Office Environment. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
