What You’ll Do – This experienced technician will troubleshoot equipment issues while involving engineering staff or supervisor when necessary. This position will set up, run, and maintain manufacturing equipment and assembly processes; monitor and check product quality and document results in strict adherence to SOPs, MPIs, WIs, and other protocols. An individual in this role will support production operations by assisting manufacturing staff, performing equipment training, identifying constraints to production flow, and finding non-value-added activities to eliminate. This role will improve the production operation by suggesting improvements to tooling, measurement, material management and procedures, minimizing downtime on the production lines.

- Support Manufacturing Engineers improve productivity by implementing tools, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing production flow and equipment performance
- Build prototypes, product subassemblies, final assemblies, & packaging for finished product, and evaluate new design ideas, processes, or current product enhancements.
- Ensure production equipment is properly set up and operates in accordance with current good manufacturing practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs), verify functionality of safety equipment and adhere to applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products, and test subassemblies for functionality and/or quality.
- Maintain production documents such as production logs, procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
What You’ll Bring – minimum requirements for this role:
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in the medical device industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of and exposure to product manufacturing, testing, and data collection. Familiar with GMP, GDP procedures and requirements
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment (hot boxes, adhesives, soldering, bonding, fuse joining) and testing techniques: tensile, simulated use testing, or tests related to assigned projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
