Northrop Grumman has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician 3 in Mesa, AZ .
The Mesa, Arizona location of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems Division produces automatic medium caliber gun systems. Northrop Grumman gun systems built for the U.S. and international militaries have been used in all major conflicts since World War II in a variety of applications to include small and large ground vehicles, helicopters, airplanes and naval ships.
Responsibilities:
Typical duties will include but not be limited to the following.
+ Perform new assembly, sub-assembly, teardown, inspection and rebuild of cannons
+ Troubleshoot and solve unique problems working with engineering and other composite technicians
+ Follow manufacturing orders, instructions, and drawings.
+ Utilize lean manufacturing principles and disciplines to enhance quality, cost and delivery
+ Support other work cells or completes other duties as necessary
+ Coordinates internally with engineering, quality, production control and production control
+ Requires Proficiency in MS office applications.
+ Able to manage multiple tasks and have strong organizational skills.
+ Work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability to work in a standing position for extended time periods.
+ Must be able to work as a team
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of additional education and/or related experience
+ 4 years of manufacturing related experience
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, and operating procedures
+ Must be a US Citizen
+ Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs.
+ "As a responsible party to ATF, obtain coverage under Safe Explosive Act as employee possessor/responsible person upon starting."
+ Able to start work a 4/10 (Mon-Thurs) 5 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. schedule, work overtime and some weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Mechanical aptitude/ experience (please be sure, this is highlighted on your resume)
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment using common tools.
Salary Range: $51,200 - $85,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
