About the Job
Hire Up Staffing is hiring for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our client located in Fresno, CA.
SCHEDULE: M-F 5AM-5PM Hours may vary with some Saturdays
PAY: $66,500-$85,000
DUTIES
Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in assigned production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function
Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, sales forecast, and production ramp planning
Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
Interact with peer groups and gain the cooperation of others by conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules
Perform verification of production output according to specifications
Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers
Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies
Train new employees on how to use machinery and follow procedures safely
Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
SKILLS
Strong problem-solving and conflict-management skills
Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
Experience providing direct supervision to skilled, nonexempt employees
Expertise in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Proven experience in executing improvement projects with LEAN Manufacturing concepts
Strong organizational and leadership skills? together with a results-driven approach
Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and set priorities without jeopardizing project schedule
Data-driven decision maker, good negotiation skills, positive attitude
Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills Ability to work well under pressure
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
EDUCATION
2+ years' experience working in a supervisory role
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; an additional degree in engineering or other relevant areas is a plus
