Primary Purpose and Functions:
- Coordinates and supervises all work performed within the departments responsible for including the assignment and utilization of labor, equipment, and materials to support manufacturing.
- Ensures that the department is running within company policies and procedures across all operations.
- Reviews and seeks methods to improve and increase productivity, efficiencies, and eliminate wasteful practices.
- Reviews, updates, and documents all departmental processes, including training tools, troubleshooting, safety, and preventive maintenance methods.
- Works with several other departments and managers to ensure all manufacturing schedules and goals are met.
- Leads daily SQDPG (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Growth) meetings with team to review critical KPIs.
- Schedules, prioritizes, monitors and reviews department production work schedule to ensure daily and weekly production targets are met.
- Selects, supervises, and trains employees, in compliance with company standards, and policies.
- Complies with all safety and security regulations, as well as may manage Lock-Out-Tag-Out program with respect to safety, production equipment, and review all accidents and accident investigations.
- Prepares and conducts employee reviews per the established review schedule.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of directly related manufacturing experience; 2+ years of experience leading teams of at least 10 people.
- Undergraduate degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing diverse teams, with the ability to direct, motivate, interact, monitor, and resolve any personnel issues.
- Knowledge of plant operations (manufacturing and maintenance) as well as familiar with cGMP and safety regulations
- Strong leadership and business acumen required.
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to communicate information clearly and concisely.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, proficient with Microsoft Office, and have experience interacting and using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central.
