We are a manufacturer of personal skincare products, committed to providing high-quality products to the health and beauty industry. We're seeking a full time Manufacturing Manager to run our manufacturing operations in a fashion that ensures that our products are produced safely, with a high level of quality, and with cost-effective efficiency to meet our business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
This is a full time, on-site position at our shop in Centerville, Ohio. Standard operating hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional (but rare) weekend shifts as necessary. The position will report directly to the VP of Operations and will oversee the entire production team.
Responsibilities
● Open and close the shop daily
● Setup and configure production cells and pack out stations
● Manage and organize the physical Production Pipeline schedule board
● Manage inbound receiving and outbound shipping
● Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
● Train and supervise Production Team Members
● Ensure safety, quality, and performance through implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
Requirements / What We're Looking For
● High level of competency in working on a computer with various software programs. For example:
○ Google Workspace (Office productivity software)
○ Odoo (Manufacturing and inventory management software)
○ Asana (Project management)
○ LeanKit (Digital kanban boards)
○ Inkscape (Vector graphics)
● General mechanical aptitude. Able to set up, configure, operate, and troubleshoot various types of production and warehouse equipment, including:
○ Inkjet and thermal printers
○ Peristaltic pumps
○ Capping machines (Pneumatic)
○ Label machines
○ Auger filler
○ Pump controllers
○ Induction sealers
○ Band sealer
○ Overhead gantry and chain hoist
○ Drum handling equipment
○ Air compressor
○ Powered pallet stacker
○ Pallet jack
○ Shop vacuum
○ Heat guns
● Ability to operate powered pallet stacker and pallet jack in order to load/unload pallets from truck trailers and to place pallets in the pallet racks
● Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
● Ability to work independently and autonomously, using standard operating procedures combined with intuition to address any problems that arise on the production floor
● Strong time management and organizational skills
