About the Job
We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisors (Up to $5K Sign-On & Relocation Available for Select Candidates) to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
The open position will most likely be on a back shift (2nd and 3rd) for some duration of time.
Your Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will manage a team of represented employees and maintain product flow throughout the factory. The positions will primarily involve managing machining operations but could also include assembly or welding oversight. A strong machining background along with good leadership skills is a must.

Your Challenge:
+ Supervises the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect Labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
+ Supervise represented employees including the interpretation and administration of labor agreements. Maintains records including labor activities, attendance, skills inventory, training and development, shop performance and budgets.
+ Maintain compliance to business policies and procedures pertaining to safety, housekeeping and work habits.
+ Ensure the product is manufactured to specifications and procedures under the guidelines of verbatim compliance to work instructions.
+ Plans and coordinates work assignments in support of production plans. Develop and implement plans to eliminate work backlog and support achievement of balance workload.
+ Lead the area of responsibility in Safety, Rework reduction, Throughput improvement, lean manufacturing, 6S concept and quality improvement initiatives through the development, implementation and monitoring of leaders' standard work.
+ Define and implement individual training programs based on the assessment of individual skills inventories.
+ Strong skills as a team leader and team building.
+ Ability to schedule and prioritize work based on production schedules and available resources.
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
+ Able to communicate objectives and results to those below and above
What You Bring:
+ High School diploma or equivalent,
+ Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Engineering background is a plus.
+ Four year machinist journeyman graduate is a plus
+ Knowledgeable in Master Cam and CNC Machining is a plus
+ Basic computer skill with the ability to use Oracle.
+ Willing to work back shifts and/or weekends
+ Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
