As the Manufacturing Supervisor- 2nd Shift, you will oversee 2nd shift operations, ensuring production goals align with customer requirements and company objectives. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead your team in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while driving operational efficiency and associate engagement.
You Will:
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards, as well as budget and cost control measures.
Manage 2nd shift production and material handling to meet delivery schedules while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Lead daily Gemba walks and KPI board reviews to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Review production and operating reports, addressing and resolving operational and maintenance challenges.
Improve resource use by organizing and directing workflow to meet production plans.
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and root cause problem-solving to analyze and improve processes using voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and peers to resolve major process and quality issues.
Contribute to facility planning, plant layout, and other assigned projects.
Provide feedback on important projects such as AOP development, capital planning, and manufacturing process improvements.
Drive a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with safety rules, ensuring PPE usage, and reporting any job-related injuries or illnesses immediately.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of degree, 2+ years of experience or equivalent education and work experience.
Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application.
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operating systems.
Advanced level decision-making experience.
Supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage team members.
Commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to company attendance standards.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
