Manufacturing Superintendent 3rd Shift - Flex-N-Gate

Scope of the Position

Coordinate resources on shop floor activities to meet production department objectives.  Responsible to manufacture quality products in a safe manner for associates.

Responsibilities

Monitor / meet daily Customer shipping requirements.

Lead daily communications across all departments that safety, environmental, and quality standards are being met along with production schedules.

Direct Manufacturing Departments to meet production indicators (SPH, bars per hour, weld units per hour, assemblies per hour) to ensure strategic initiatives are met per QOS Goals.

Assist with problem solving.

Ensure standardized work / work instructions are followed with correct manning.

Ensure training needs of team members are met.

Keep Fast Response Boards and verification boards updated.

Monitor Hold Areas and take responsibility to make disposition and repair product.

Conduct LPA’s for departments per frequency

Conduct 5S audits of work areas

Perform pre shift and post shift Outdoor Lot walk

Communicate low inventory levels to purchasing as needed.

Communicate with team members, other departments, and managers.

Involvement in kaizen activities to develop process improvements for scrap, changeovers, pcs/hr, and overtime reduction.

Support the plants TS-16949 and ISO-14001 initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.
