The CNH Industrial Racine Plant is seeking a Site Quality Leader.
Responsibilities:In support of CNH Product and Service Quality goals, the Site Quality Leader will…
- Facilitate and lead Site Leadership team in setting bold Quality goals for new and existing products
- Assess gaps in capabilities of core Quality Technical skills of the engineers and technicians involved in improvement, build and implement gap closure plans
- Identify and transfer best practices / regional-global standard work that drives high impact to reducing Customer quality issues, downtime, and profitability.
- Working as ONE TEAM with those responsible for Product Design, Process Design, and Customer Service drive aligned priorities and action plans to achieve goals for products produced at the site
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective Daily Management System for Quality within the CNH Business System including
- Point of impact Quality improvement process (KPIs, daily review and cadence of root cause problem solving)
- Site and GPP “Compass Rooms” around development of “Quality Lab” where we identify the top systemic issues and use root cause problem solving to drive permanent fixes leading to sustainable improvement results
- Site and GPP Monthly Operating Reviews focused on the quality of the systemic Root Cause Problem Solving and resource allocation.
- Work alongside GPP Quality teams to apply Advanced Quality Planning skills/methods and Root Cause Problem Solving to accelerate rate of improvement including;
- Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (Process & Design) – driving a living identification of Quality risks and mitigation of those risks
- Process Control Plans and Design Standards/Design Control Plans – derived from FMEA and ensuring consistent practices that deliver “right first time”
- Design Innovation – Design for ”X”…Quality-Reliability/Manufacturability-Assembly/Serviceability/Cost/etc… specifically related to Process Design
- Facilitate development and implementation of appropriate inspection, test and containment processes to ensure customer impact of defects is minimized
- Lead the development and implementation of effective Quality Control processes including;
- Measurement Systems Analysis and Calibration
- Compliance and systems auditing
- Maintenance of “Living” Control Plans as a basis of sustainment audit and feedback to New Product Development
- Ensure Process Validation (delivers on functional requirements and specifications) for new products/services is done effectively to ensure Quality performance at full production rates
- Support implementation of strong Process Controls that prevent defects using Mistake Proofing and Visual Management
The qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical subject area
- 8 or more years of experience in an industrial manufacturing business
- 4 or more years of management experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduate degree in Business is a plus
- Experience working across functional lines particularly in Product Design, Process Design, Customer Service and Manufacturing Operations
- Experience driving increased customer focus, understanding and value creation across a very internally focused organization
- High energy, effective communicator capable of leading across functional lines and without direct reporting authority
- Results focus and orientation. Experience driving process change for sustainability while delivering on financial and operational results.
- Innovative thinker, but even more importantly, able to help other leaders and teams get “outside the box” and drive “breakthrough thinking”.
