Our manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and training to support production operations.
- Lead and implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and product quality.
- Manage projects related to manufacturing changes and new product launches, facilitating start-up teams and overseeing the entire project lifecycle.
- Monitor and optimize tools, fixtures, and methods to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to identify cost reduction, lead-time reduction, and quality improvement opportunities.
- Conduct R&D testing and validate processes for compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure conformance to engineering designs, safety standards, and operational methodologies, preparing detailed reports.
- Optimize floor layout and material flow while documenting improvements in efficiency, takt time, and space utilization.
- Recommend new tools and methodologies, providing cost estimates and analysis for design or process changes.
- Lead quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to machinery and production processes, enhancing operator performance and safety.
- Establish and assist in the setup of new jobs, machines, and processes.
- Develop or revise technical documentation related to manufacturing processes, equipment setup, and maintenance.
- Provide accurate, complete engineering documentation and visual controls for processes.
- Oversee project launch activities from purchase order through PPAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, safety, and maintenance departments.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Equivalent experience in related fields will be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.
- Experience in Project Management and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of statistical tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
