Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager (local Chicagoland candidates only) - The Wellington Group Inc.

Must have experience in plastics manufacturing (injection, blow, extrusion molding)

Our client, a prominent player in the consumer plastics industry, is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to champion product excellence and ensure adherence to both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead Quality Inspection and Engineering teams.
• Enhance production methods and quality audit plans.
• Support new product development with necessary equipment.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and enforce safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (extensive experience considered).
• 5-10 years in manufacturing quality assurance, including 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing (injection, blow, extrusion molding).
• Preferred: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or ISO 9000 Lead Auditor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Quality metrics analysis.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
