About the Job
Essential Job Functions:
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with both existing and new customers within the consumer product, home improvement, air distribution, and HVAC sectors.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Contribute to various business activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Relationship Management: Analyze and manage both current and new relationships, focusing on delivering enhancements to products and packaging.
- Market Analysis: Continuously evaluate the needs of end users, market trends, competitive opportunities, and potential threats to shape product strategy and direction.
- Product Advocacy: Act as a leader and advocate for your product offerings, both internally and externally, defining product positioning and key benefits.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams from Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Operations, IT, and Finance to ensure cohesive product development and management.
- Cost Management: Set goal expectations for targeted cost structures and manage any variances that arise.
- Pricing Strategies: Assist with developing pricing strategies throughout the product lifecycle and during bid processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Manage and monitor product performance, leading SKU rationalization efforts as needed.
- Marketing Team Support: Serve as a valuable member of the marketing team, contributing to overall marketing goals beyond specific product responsibilities.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred but not required if at least 5 years of experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant position.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing capabilities.
- Must have worked with Manufacturing products. (75% Manufacturing with 25% Software experience)
- Product Management: Must have experience with product management in the physical product space. This is not a software product management role
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and a focus on achieving company goals.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Presentation Skills: High skill and comfort level with delivering presentations to an audience.
- Software Proficiency: Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as required to trade shows several times a year
