Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a self-motivated, solutions-oriented Process Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Bedford Park, IL. The individual will be a key player who is responsible for the safe operation of the lines in the Injection Molding area. Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience within the plastics industry and have the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, monitor quality issues, complete machine changeovers, and train new employees on machine operation.

Available Shifts:
12-hour shifts with EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF
- 2-2-3-2-2-3 rotating schedule
Day Shift: 7A-7P

Position Responsibilities:
The Hourly Process Tech will guide the overall team’s mission in productivity, safety, quality, operations, continuous improvement and team effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for changing over the process conditions on inline thermoforming extrusion lines prior to production
Responsible for setting blending equipment to proper conditions for production runs
Responsible for setting conditions on rimming equipment on thermoforming lines
Responsible for troubleshooting process issues as needed during the day
Must be able to instruct operators on proper set up of equipment during startup
Follows all Company established rules and policies
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations
Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Ensures housekeeping in the area(s) of responsibility is safe, clean and tidy
Assist with product improvement trials and documentation as needed.
Available to work overtime based on the needs of the business.
Job requirements:
Must hold the title of a level 3 CDP Tech.
Demonstrate mechanical proficiency, working knowledge of production support and equipment needed.
Ability to provide effective formal/informal coaching & training.
Ability to set priorities and cope with several problems simultaneously.
Must have good communication skills both oral and written and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
Step up into the Shift supervisors role in his/her absence

$39.90 - $41.51 / hr
