We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our Oswego, IL facility.

The primary function of the Process Engineer is to support Operations to assure that daily quality, cost and productivity goals are achieved. Other important responsibilities include the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality, and enhance productivity and safety.
You will also be responsible to:
- Oversee the installation, certification and start-up on new equipment/work cells and developing robust processes for new product instructions.
- Work real time with Operations to resolve any manufacturing issues that prevent achievement of productivity, quality and cost standards on each manufacturing order.
- Develop and implement projects to provide continuous improvements in productivity, cost, safety and quality.
- Lead CI teams that utilize LEAN and Six-Sigma methodologies to drive measurable improvements in quality, cost and inventory levels.
- Develop system to prioritize and monitor progress of all CI projects. Hold monthly meetings with operations management team to review progress on approved projects and discuss new opportunities
- Work with Product Development, Purchasing and Engineering to approve new materials and vendors
- Determine the capital requirements, optimal work flow and process parameters for new product instructions
- Participate in APQP process and continuous improvement teams. Approve new product, production processes, control plan and FMEAs.
To qualify you must have a:
- Manufacturing engineering experience preferred
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- Trained in Six Sigma methodologies
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Design of Experiments Training or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated competency in advanced problem solving methods and determining root cause (Fish Bone Diagrams, 8D Analysis, Pareto Analysis, 5 Whys, DOEs, etc.).
- Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office including excel pivot tables
- Experience collecting data, analyzing and making decision based on credible data.
