Job Description
Our client is looking for a self-motivated Printed Circuit Board Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer for its Massachusetts facility. Successful candidates will serve as the technical lead in New Product Introduction (NPI) and perform process support and improvement for established assembly processes of legacy products. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate between Operations, Program Management, and all other departments, in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and troubleshooting all standard printed circuit board assembly processes.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 AS9100 practices and IPC-610-A Workmanship Standards required.
- Support the production schedule to meet customer satisfaction and company revenue goals.
- Constantly monitor processes and operations and draw from training and experience to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support generation and reporting of process metrics.
- Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work with a minimum of oversight and direction.
- Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Documentation Skills, and ability to settle process-related customer issues.
Required Experience, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Process Development skills and experience are required.
- Experience with setting up and troubleshooting all standard printed circuit board assembly processes.
- Experience with screen-printer set-up, placement programming, AOI programming, reflow oven profile, wave solder recipes, etc.
- Experience with CAM software such as UNICAM or AEGIS is a big plus.
- A minimum of five years of experience in printed circuit board assembly is required.
- A Degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Background preferred.
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
