We are looking for a Manufacturing Performance Intern interested in starting a SWEET career as at our Manufacturing unit Somerset, New Jersey.Job Overview
Support, drive and lead Lean/TPM Continuous Improvement systematic methodology implementation in the PIM Brands site ensuring effective governance following the "plan-do-check-act" (PDCA) flow. The position interfaces extensively with all functions to build capability and eliminate losses to deliver the plant Compelling Business Need (CBN) and annual objectives.
The Intern's role is responsible for implementing assigned project using Lean/TPM Continuous Improvement systematic tools while building the required capability of the team, as well as pulling the other functions to guarantee the delivery of business results through a High-Performance approach.
QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities
Utilize CI tools and techniques to help drive and coach employees to help them achieve their targets.
Work on process improvement project as assigned by the department Manager.
Facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvements with the guidance and direction from the department Manager.
Once improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes.
Participate performance improvement meetings and understand the improvement path.
Train Operators on problem solving techniques to eliminate loss/waste and improve efficiency.
Ensures proper and timely communication with all levels of the organization: Pillars' teams escalating to eliminate barriers and correct any delay/ deviation of the plan.

Education, experience & TrainingPursuing bachelor's degree (Engineering Disciplines, Industrial/Manufacturing engineers, and supply chain operations).
knowledge including Lean Manufacturing and performance improvement processes preferred
Knowledge of Focused Improvement/ Analytical Skills (Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Focus Improvement tools preferred.
Ability to blend people into teams; creates strong morale and leverages on diversity in his/her work.
Results driven with a strong sense of urgency
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate with entire organization from hourly employees through executive leadership. Willing to develop effective coaching skills at shop floor level
Can build positive relationships with plant leadership teams, corporate continuous improvement team and other functions
