About the Job
General Purpose:
Oversee the manufacturing of plastic parts according with work instructions and best practices by performing the following duties:
Shift(s):
1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) Monday through Friday
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Adjusts machine parameters in order to optimize processing of injection molded parts.
- Sets up molds and automation according with best industry practices.
- Performs adjustments to end of arm tooling and pick/place robots as needed.
- Conducts mold cleanings and break downs.
- Performs adjustments related with machine settings, tools and times. Analyses part measurements to determine adjustments needed.
- Read blueprints to ensure dimensional conformance of parts. Reviews measurement reports to assess product conformity and necessary corrections.
- Perform re-works/modifications on machine and off machine.
- Ensure that the documentation is correct including quantities and other records including previous operations.
- Promptly perform booking operations and ensures reported quantities are correct.
- Use of hand tools such as files to de-bur parts while maintaining product conformity.
- Perform visual inspections to identify issues as early in the production process as possible.
- Assists in the training of operators and machine adjusters according to working instructions.
- Help with workflow by identifying bottlenecks and promptly communicating status with supervisors.
- Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in the manufacturing area.
- Communicate with shift supervisor and/or machine adjusters potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues.
- Communicate with machine adjusters and operators at shift change relevant information that helps prevent mistakes or expedite production process.
- Flexible work schedule. This position requires interactions with all shifts including filling in for planned and unplanned absences of Machine Adjusters, Line Techs and supervisors as required
- Must be present in regular attendance.
- Effectively follows up on ongoing projects and communicates accordingly.
- Assists in implementing new models and program updates.
- Maintains and promotes all 5s and lean manufacturing practices.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee works around oils, coolants and cleaning solutions. Employee is required bend and squat to lift or move boxes (up to 40 lbs.). The employee is required to use fingers and hands to work on products. Personal Protective Equipment is required for safety. Flexible work schedule.
Work Environment:
The work environment in a clean fast paced environment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee can occasionally be exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical machinery, fumes and airborne particles and unpleasant odors. The noise level can be moderate to high at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
