Manufacturing Mechanical Maintenance Tech
What the role entails
Perform maintenance and repairs involving some of the following: Observes functioning of all areas of the production facility to detect hazards, problems and the need for service repair and or replacement of mechanical components.
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair mechanical system problems such as motor starters, proximity switches, photo-eyes, contactor, and relay base, using root cause analysis principles and taking corrective action to repairing or replacing electrical and mechanical component.
Respond to work order requests, completing in a timely manner and closing tickets
Follow preventive maintenance schedule for manufacturing. Keep neat and accurate repair records and other department information such as walk-throughs and daily inspection on equipment in the building.
Demonstrate professionalism and self-motivation in order to perform routine duties, and assist others including outside vendors, as scheduled or required
Identify and troubleshoot sources of mechanical failure. Make recommendations and report problems to immediate Supervisor for future improvements on equipment in the manufacturing facility
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Certificate in Equipment Maintenance or Mechanical systems from technical school; or two years related experience and/or Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to operate company vehicle, mobile equipment Forklift, Reach Fork, scissor lift etc.
Must have basic computer skills using Windows and Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with company guidelines and procedures.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also, basic measuring tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
$19-26 per hour
