Job Details
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee our production operations in the plastics industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining high product quality, and leading a team of production staff.
Responsibilities:
Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Quality Control: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations. Implement and maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the production budget, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
Safety Management: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular training sessions.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, tooling, and project managers to ensure alignment on production goals and initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare and present production reports, metrics, and performance data to upper management.
Oversee and Manage: Oversee and manage inventory, warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely flow of goods within the organization.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in the plastics industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong ERP/Computer Skills.
Syteline/CSI experience is a plus.
Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Quality Assurance: Committed to and support of our quality control systems to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485 standards).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including noise, heat, cold, and exposure to chemicals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection when on the manufacturing floor.
Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing machinery.
Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following: Hazard Communication, Lock Out/Tag Out, First Aid and CPR (optional).
